Perennial New York Times bestsellers and Audie Award finalists The Christmas Shoes and The Christmas Blessing have become inspirational holiday classics, and THE CHRISTMAS HOPE is poised to become a seasonal favorite in its own rightPatricia and Mark Addison have long given up the hope of having a meaningful Christmas. But this year, Patricia’s job as a social worker will lead her to a very special five-year-old. Against her better judgment, Patricia bends the rules and takes the little girl to her own home. Through the presence of Emily in their house, and her penetrating questions about heaven, the Addisons learn that there is no sorrow so great that faith cannot help you find your way through. And Christmas will once more be a time of joy in their home. THE CHRISTMAS HOPE is a story of love in the face of loss, joy when all seems hopeless, and how light can shine into the darkest places.

Reviews about The Christmas Hope (Christmas Hope Series #3) by Donna VanLiere

This I believe is my favorite story, from the series. I read it first, than had to buy the rest of the series. These books are all connected, by characters, not like it is one continuous story. Bought this book 3 times, to share with others.
The Christmas Hope Series by Donna Van Liere are extremely sad, not unlike life. Although sad, they are equally spiritually uplifting and encouraging. I enjoyed this third in the series as much as the first two. Ms. Van Liere has a unique way of infusing deep spritual concepts that are expressed in her characters. Her story-lines have the ability to soften hearts. Every character touches the lives of other characters - none with too small or too great a roll. Cudos to another great book Donna Van Liere.
Well this was a wonderful book. I read it through tears and through smiles. I felt like I knew the characters personally by the end of the book. Oh and by the way, I could not stop reading it until I reached the end. Hope all who read it enjoy it as much as I did.
as advertised
Wonderfully written-- and moving-- book about a couple who are almost to the point of divorce until a little girl ---in the foster care system--comes into their lives! Predictable, yes, but just what I 'needed' to read. This author doesn't 'disappoint'!
I think everyone should read this book (and the complete series) as it shows most of us just how fortunate we are - even with our own small problems. In each of the books, situations are developed whereby the individuals involved rose above and survived their problems because of their faith and our own human resilience.
Although this book delves into the lives of a couple who has lost a child, it is full of hope, joy and God's miraculous tapestry in the day to day lives of those who are stuck in sadness.
Another wonderful book by this gifted author as we follow the life of the young man who bought Christmas shoes for his Mother so many years ago so she would look beautiful "when she met Jesus" Now he is a Doctor and we continue to see him touch the lives of so many others. Excellent book and and excellent seller as well. Book came to me very quickly and in wonderful condition!
