Needed this book for a Classical Sociology class. Rented the book but ended up buying a used copy because I enjoyed it so much. You get some information about early sociologists and some of their writings. Great reference book for any sociology major.

The most important sociologists of the cannon and their best works are featured, in excerpts. You get a feel for each author and leads you to reading more complete version of their works. The only issue is it is a current textbook so it is stupidly expensive.

Just as described.
